Different Lenses to Explore

Advancements in lens technology have made it so that glasses lenses are no longer a one-size-fits-all option. We offer a variety of different lens types to give our patients flexibility in their vision correction solution.

Single Vision

Single vision lenses are designed to correct vision at one distance. These lenses are usually recommended for people with nearsightedness or farsightedness.

Progressive lenses are multifocal lenses that can correct vision at different distances from far away to reading distance. Progressive lenses feature a gradual change that results in a smooth transition from one lens power to another.

Bifocal and trifocal lenses have 2 or 3 lens powers depending on the type you are prescribed. Bifocal lenses support distance vision in the top half of the lens and near vision in the lower half. Trifocals support distance vision in the top third, intermediate vision in the middle, and near vision in the bottom third.

Computer lenses have their function in the name. These lenses are designed to be worn while doing computer work. Their design places the optimum lens power for viewing your computer screen exactly where you need it.

Blue light lenses contain filters that are designed to block out the artificial blue light produced by digital devices like computers, tablets, and smartphones. Blue light lenses may be recommended for people who spend a lot of time on their digital devices.

Polarized lenses can help reduce eye strain on sunny days, making them an ideal choice if you love spending time outdoors. Polarized lenses are designed with a special filter that blocks some of the light passing through the lens, protecting your eyes from glare.

Also known as photochromic lenses, transition lenses are designed to darken in the sunlight and lighten in softer light or the dark. These versatile lenses can allow you to move between environments with comfort.
